why blog?

Good question! As anyone who knows me will tell you, I don't feel the need to 'share' all that much. Yankee stoic and all of that. In fact, I have always considered myself a bit of a loner, with a very few close friends. Much to my amazement, as I began to call friends and family with my latest news, I discovered that I have collected many friends. The kind of friends who say "need won-ton soup at 2 am, call me!"

This blog will be my attempt to keep all these people informed without having to call each and every one of them after every momentous day. If the past few weeks are any indication, I will have good days, and I will have not such good days. Of course, right now they are based on my frame of mind. Later in this journey, it will be more physical.

Leave a post, send an email or call. The support of everyone has been very overwhelming. And yes, I promise that I will ask for help when we need it.
